When to go to Hiva-Oa
Best for the beach from July to October and in December.
The sea is warmest in April (29 °C) and coolest in September (27 °C). You can swim comfortably all year (21 °C or more).

Hiva-Oa is an volcanic island in France. It belongs to Marquesas Islands. It covers 309 km², with 204 km of coastline. Its highest point, Temetiu, rises to 1,213 m. About 2,371 people live on it. The nearest mainland is 4,794 km away. It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site.
